Chase Tutoring Dashboard

Dashboard Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This notice covers the Google integration, read-only Wyzant calendar feed, and inbound Google Voice notifications in Chase Tutoring's private administrative dashboard, operated by Chase. Only the authorized tutor configures these integrations. Customer website and tutoring-service information is covered separately by the website Privacy Policy.

Google Data Access

With the tutor's authorization, the application reads account and calendar identifiers, calendar information, event times and busy status to check availability. It can create, update, and cancel tutoring events on the selected tutor-owned calendar and generate Google Meet links.

The authorized tutor can view external event titles and times from the selected calendar, including tutoring sessions arranged through other services. These are read-only entries loaded from Google, not saved as dashboard lesson records. External descriptions and guest lists are not displayed or saved as lesson records. Additional calendars used only for availability checks show busy times without event titles. The Calendar connection does not grant access to Gmail messages or Google Drive files.

Wyzant Calendar Feed

When configured by the tutor, the application periodically reads a private Wyzant calendar subscription to display lesson titles, times, and Wyzant event links. A normalized snapshot and hashed event identifiers are cached outside the public website directory and shown only in the authenticated dashboard. Feed descriptions and attendee details are not retained in this cache.

The subscription URL is kept in private server configuration and is not sent to the browser or analytics services. These entries remain read-only: they do not create dashboard students, lesson records, invoices, invitations, or billing activity, and the application does not change Wyzant bookings. Removing the feed configuration stops updates; the private cache can then be deleted by the tutor. Backups may retain earlier snapshots until replaced or deleted.

Inbound Google Voice Notifications

When separately configured and authorized by the tutor, a private Apps Script processes recognized Google Voice email notifications under a dedicated Gmail label and sends limited notification information to the dashboard through authenticated requests. The script's Gmail permission is broader than that label; its processing is restricted by the configured label and recognized notification senders.

The dashboard may retain a phone number, message or voicemail transcript, notification time and external message identifier to manage inquiries and service communications. Known contacts are matched by an exact normalized phone number; unknown or ambiguous callers remain for tutor review. Imported communications are available only to authorized staff, are not sent to website analytics or used for marketing enrollment, and do not enable outbound Voice texting. Removing the script's authorization or trigger stops future intake but does not automatically erase existing service history or backups. Contact Chase to request review or removal.

Use and Sharing

Google account data is used for the dashboard's scheduling and meeting features, not sold or used for advertising or training AI models.

Creating a tutoring event sends Google the student's name, subject, session time, and applicable location or meeting information. If a student invitation is explicitly selected, the student's email address is also sent to Google, which can send invitations and event updates. Private tutor notes and billing amounts are not included in these events.

The application and its database are hosted on Hostinger. Google processes Calendar and Meet information to provide those services. Dashboard operational pages do not include website marketing or analytics tags.

Storage and Protection

Google authorization tokens are stored encrypted in the application's database. Account and calendar identifiers, created event identifiers, Meet links, and synchronization status are retained to maintain the connection and associated lesson records. The dashboard requires administrator authentication; credentials and the encryption key are kept in private server configuration outside the public website directory.

Authorization tokens are retained while the connection is maintained. Disconnecting clears the stored tokens, but calendar identifiers and lesson-related references can remain as service history. Backups may retain earlier records until replaced or deleted. Contact Chase to request review or removal of retained information.

Removing Google Access

The tutor can disconnect Google in dashboard Settings. To revoke Google's authorization as well, remove the application from the connected Google account's third-party connections settings. These are separate actions.

Disconnecting or revoking access stops future authorized Calendar operations; it does not delete events already created in Google or undo invitations already sent. Existing events can be managed directly in Google Calendar.
